New order for a 70.1 meter new build project

22 September 2025

We are pleased to announce the signing of a new order for a 70,1 (230’ft)-meter luxury displacement motor yacht, project YN258. This will be the largest project built by Hakvoort to date sold in cooperation with 26 North Yachts as the build broker and Arrow Monaco as the client’s new build management company.

YN258 has been specifically designed for extended global cruising, featuring comprehensive amenities to support long-range odysseys. The interior and exterior design will come from the drawing boards of Sinot Yacht Design. Naval architecture, construction and engineering design for this project will be by Diana Yacht Design.

The 70,1-meter (230’ ft) superyacht with wide beam of 11.6 meter (38’ ft) and volume of 1.513 GT features a carefully considered balance of indoor and outdoor spaces, with key exterior highlights including a touch-and-go helipad, a sports court and a swimming pool.

She will offer accommodation for up to 14 guests across seven staterooms, including two owners’ suites – one on the aft bridge deck, and the other one spanning the forward owners’ deck.

Built for an owner with a deep commitment to crew wellbeing, YN258 offers generous quarters for 20, including a spacious crew mess and a dedicated crew gym. The technical spaces have also been optimised for accessibility during extended voyages, while the design emphasises minimal maintenance requirements, operational efficiency, and advanced waste management systems.

According to Klaas Hakvoort, “this project is another milestone in the history of Royal Hakvoort Shipyard. The vessel is the largest vessel in size and tonnage ever to be built by our yard. It will guarantee our Shipyard work until late 2029 and will provide work for around 300 people being either direct employed shipyard staff or through subcontractors. We thank the client for putting his trust in our Shipyard”.
